Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 says you need access to competent health and safety advice. It doesn't say you need to employ someone full-time to get it.

What's included

Access to a CMIOSH-qualified consultant as your named competent person. We'll review your current arrangements, make sure your policy actually reflects what you do, and be on hand throughout the year when questions come up. When CHAS, SafeContractor, or Acclaim ask who provides your H&S support, you'll have a solid answer.

What this isn't

A rubber stamp. If your systems need work, we'll tell you. If something on site isn't right, we'll have that conversation. The point is to make your business genuinely safer and more capable, not just to tick a box for a procurement questionnaire.
